Meeting old Enemies

"Leave the Clans alone," Hollyleaf growled. "You have hurt us enough."

"Never!" Sol retorted. "Not until I've destroyed everything the Clans stand for." His lips peeled back in a snarl. "Many seasons ago, I knew another of your Clans, far away in a gorge. They scorned me, too; they told me I wasn't good enough to be one of their precious warriors! So I vowed to prove to all of you that the warrior code means nothing. In the end, you will kill one another for reasons that aren't worth so much as a mousetail."

"No, you're wrong," Hollyleaf hissed softly, crouching ready to spring. "The way of the Clans is always worth fighting for- and dying for, if necessary."

Hollyleaf was amazing in this book. I don't really like Omen of the Stars, but I have to say, Erins, you did a pretty good job with this book. Hollyleaf had great, realistic development, and her friendship was rather cute with Dovewing and Ivypool. I loved everything in that book. My only complaints are that Sol shouldn't have come back, because we needed a new enemy, and I didn't like how Jayfeather gave Cinderheart her memories as Cinderpelt back, and then suddenly she's just been possessed in The Last Hope? Yeah, I disliked that.

But The Forgotten Warrior was a pretty good book and it was interesting; I liked it. Probably the only one I actually like out of all, and it was nice to have a plot twist of Hollyleaf returning to the Clans.
